Kelpie Knits yarn is available in a couple of different bases.
Marshmallow = 100% Superwash Merino
Marshmallow is super soft and warm. It isn't too heavy, so it's great for making baby clothes. This base is also great for making scarfs or cowls, since they sit close to your face, so you'll get the cuddly marshmallow goodness against your cheeks. If you're looking for the softest yarn possible, then this is the one for you!
Pitter Patter = 85% Superwash Merino/15% Nylon
Pitter Patter is just as soft as Marshmallow, but the nylon in this blend makes it a bit more durable. The reason I chose the name Pitter Patter is because this base, especially in 4ply weight, is ideal for making socks! They won't wear through as easily as a pure merino base, so your beautiful creation will last longer.
Magpie = 75% Superwash Merino/20% Nylon/5% Lurex
Magpie is my sparkly sock weight base. The lurex gives it a noticeable sparkle and glimmer, so it's perfect for a project you want to add a little glam to. It's a sturdy base, with the nylon providing extra strength. However, this base probably isn't best for projects you want to be super soft, since the amount of superwash merino in it is lower than my other bases. The lurex isn't scratchy but you can notice that it's there. I'd also steer clear of making baby knits with this one, just to be on the safe side.
