This is part of my Granda's Collection - a trio of colourways that I designed in memory of my late Granda.

A common theme that runs through everyone's memory of my Granda is his hospitality. His home was open to everyone. Many people would congregate at my grandparents' home for Hogmanay and would be asked the question that wasn't really a question: "You'll take a dram?" by my Granda.

If the same people returned the following year to celebrate, they would inevitably find that not only did my Granda remember their preferred tipple, but had bought a bottle of it to keep in the house for them, just in case they decided to come back.

The rich gold of this colourway reminds me of whisky and my Granda's warm personality - and the silk tie he bought himself so he was always looking sharp!

Kelpie Knits yarn is all dyed by hand. This gives each skein a unique finish, which means your skein might not look exactly like the one in the picture. However, all the skeins in this colourway are made in the same way, in the same style.

Acid dye has been used to create this colourway. While every measure has been taken (lots and lots of washing!) your yarn may bleed a little for the first couple of washes.

While this yarn can go in your washing machine in cold water on a gentle cycle, I would recommend washing by hand and drying flat. I would also recommend using a wool wash detergent.

If you have any questions about this yarn, please get in touch with me. I'm happy to help!
